Designed by: Mary Scott HuffIn Pennsylvania Dutch vernacular, the Distelfink ("thistle-finch") is a symbolic bird who represents love and happiness. Two Distelfinks with crossed tails stand for the blessing of lifelong friendship. Knit Distelfink socks for your best friend, who will remember your gift of love each time someone notices that their socks don't "match".
Even more fun: Two friends can each knit a pair, then trade one sock to make matched sets.
