Ripple is such a fun yarn!!
We actually carried this yarn many moons ago when the scarf knitting frenzy exploded. Oh my the scraves we knit out of all kinds of yarns. We knit so many scarves and hats out of this yarn all on it's own and then combined with other yarns just cause we could! Recently, we've had a few requests for more bulky yarns and more textured ones. So I thought it would be fun to revisit this lovely for the holidays. It is truly such a fun yarn that takes color beautifully, is seriously textured and super soft!
So soft I have been walking around with a skein wrapped around my neck.
Ripple is a 99% wool / 1% nylon with a bulky thick and thin single and a component ply which is where the nylon comes in. The component ply is thinner than the single and the variation between thick and thin gives more texture than we can imagine. Because of the wonderful way it takes color and all of that texture, Ripple is one of those yarns that does all the most of the work for us. You do not need a complicated stitch pattern for Ripple. In fact, the simpler the better to show of that ripple effect and create interesting textured fabrics.
And all just in time for all of your holiday gift knitting needs!
Knit hats, scarves and cowls for those you love or you could "treat yo self" to a sweater’s quantity worth of yarn for a winter wearable.
You seriously cannot go wrong with Ripple!
