These plain-in-front, sexy-in-the-back socks borrow their appeal from seamed silk stockings. Shfiting the gusset to the back of the foot forms a protuberance where theheel actually protrudes. Worked toe up, the pyramid shaped gusset terminates at the achilles, from whence the stock is worked back and forth to the cuff. Sewn-on buttons finish the look. Since the pattern is interesting all the way down to the sole, these socks look great worn with clogs.
