100% Bombyx Silk
Silk caps are made from degummed cocoons which are stretched over a bell-shaped frame. Each cap consists of a whole bunch of fine layers (cocoons), that when pulled and separated in just the right way, then drafted out, gives you a fine strong roving that you can spin or even knit without spinning. These caps have a smaller painting surface then any of our other yarns or fibers, so the colorways chosen reflect this. There is a great tutorial on prepping these for spinning and knitting here:
