60% Merino / 40% Bamboo-Rayon Roving
Bamboo is a cellulose based fiber and Merino (see Merino/Silk blend for Merino specs) is a protein based fiber. We have combined them here with the protein fiber having the edge. We dye this roving with acid dyes for the wool and because cellulose fibers don't absorb acid dyes, it creates a wonderful effect which gives the fiber a silvery/white quality that is quite ethereal. It does mean that colors turn out lighter. I have spun this into a very nice lofty yarn and was quite pleased.
