Silkie: Socks that Rock® takes a journey down the Silk Road. In this yarn, you will find the same ultra fine merino that is used in STR, with the addition of bombyx silk. Silkie is a 3-ply yarn and one of the plies consists of a blend of silk and merino. Because of this, it takes the dye a little lighter than the other two plies, which creates a heathered effect when knit. Although it is superwash, we recommend handwashing this yarn. Silkie is luxurious and certainly not just a sock yarn!
